RTL Deutschland and OKTAGON are continuing their partnership: the exclusive media deal has been extended by four years through the end of 2031, both sides announced last week. All events will continue to stream on RTL+, with selected events and fights also on free-to-air RTL. The partners are also planning new TV and digital formats about the fighters; no titles or dates have been given yet.

"MMA has everything big live sport needs," RTL content chief Inga Leschek said, according to Sky Sport. She pointed to 60,000 fans in Frankfurt, record free-TV ratings and more than one million views on RTL+ – figures from the broadcaster. OKTAGON co-founder Ondřej Novotný noted that the partnership is less than two years old and is already being extended: "OKTAGON is here to stay."

The next event is this Saturday, 31 October: at OKTAGON 96 in the SAP Garden, Amiran Gogoladze and unbeaten Felix Klinkhammer fight for the vacant welterweight title. According to the RTL+ schedule, Igor Severino vs Max Holzer follows on 7 November and Mateusz Legierski vs Ivan Buchinger on 21 November.
