The Monday after the election was a school day with attendance but without regular teaching, BNT reported. Some schools held other activities instead of normal lessons, while elsewhere the day ran as usual. According to the report, many parents chose not to send their children to school.
Veselin Stefanov, principal of School 51 "Elisaveta Bagryana," said staff came in early to restore rooms used for voting and that the school kept its full timetable, with no new material, only revision, as ordered by the minister. Pupils there held a handwriting contest and drew.
School 119 had expected many more children, but only about four classes turned up, deputy principal Viktoria Raeva said. One class worked on a project about virtues.
