Vice-presidential candidate Kiril Valchev has invited his rival Georgi Kandev to a debate that Iotova's initiative committee considers decisive, BNT reported. Iotova herself did not ask party leaders for specific support, saying her messages were addressed to all citizens.
Andrey Gyurov repeated that the election "will not be decided in party headquarters" and that he will seek support only from citizens. He called on Iotova to hold an "open, honest and civilized debate." Ivan Hristanov said he will decide whom to back "this week," while Revival leader Kostadin Kostadinov said support must first be requested.
Velichie leader Ivelin Mihaylov, who won 3.79 percent, said in a Facebook video that the future president will be decided "only after a deal with Borissov," and that Radev had done nothing to show people something different in politics. He did not endorse either candidate, according to BNT.
