FC Bayern will play Wednesday's cup tie against 1. FC Magdeburg (20:45 CET, live on ARD) without Manuel Neuer and Jamal Musiala. “It's still a bit too early for Manuel Neuer and Jamal Musiala,” assistant coach Aaron Danks, who is standing in for the absent head coach Vincent Kompany, said at the press conference, according to FCBinside.
Captain Joshua Kimmich is also missing against Magdeburg. He is spending time with his family, Danks said according to Bulinews; the club expects him to return this week. Aleksandar Pavlović and Kim Min-jae are “certainly a bit closer”, but Danks left open whether they will be fit to play.
Ballon d'Or winner Harry Kane was due to train again on Tuesday afternoon after returning from London and will be available on Wednesday, according to Danks.
