Rain and thunderstorms in northeast Bulgaria – yellow warning for Silistra, Dobrich
On Tuesday the heaviest rain falls in the northeast, with thunderstorms in places. Saturday brings a new cold spell and snow in lower mountain areas.

Tuesday will be mostly cloudy, with rain in the eastern half of the country, heaviest in the northeast, where thunderstorms are expected in places, BNT reports. A yellow warning is in force for the Silistra and Dobrich regions, BGNES writes. Rain will later spread to the rest of northern Bulgaria.
Lows will be 3 to 8 degrees Celsius, around 3 in Sofia, with frost in the high western valleys. Highs will reach 9 to 17 degrees, about 11 in Sofia. It will rain on the Black Sea coast, more heavily in the north; the sea is 17 to 18 degrees.
Rain will fall in the mountains and snow on the highest peaks as the snow line drops. According to BNT's forecast, Saturday brings renewed cooling with precipitation, and rain may turn to snow in lower mountain areas.
