Prada is turning to hand-drawn animation for its 2026 holiday campaign. Titled "Drawing Prada", it combines photographs by Glen Luchford with traditional 2D animation. The animated films were directed by John Pomeroy, whose credits include "Winnie the Pooh and Tigger Too", "Pocahontas" and "Fantasia 2000". His team drew the fantastical creatures that roam the snowy winter landscapes.
The cast includes Maya Hawke, Sadie Sink, Chen Haoyu, Kelvin Harrison Jr. and Luther Ford. In short films mixing live action and animation, a cynical fox follows Hawke, mice steal Sink's Prada shoes and a snow lynx chases Chen's bag. Rabbits and bats play with Ford's leather accessories. The campaign builds on Prada's long relationship with cinema.
Pomeroy called it "an absolute honor" to have Prada ask him to direct the series of 2D animated films. "I learned my craft with pencil and paper," he said. An accompanying behind-the-scenes video documents the artists' work and their traditional techniques.
