Harper's BAZAAR released a new episode of its video series "Fashion Flashback" on 26 October. In it, Academy Award winner Natalie Portman, the magazine's November cover star, looks back at some of her best-known looks. According to the video description, the first is a Betsey Johnson dress with a faux-fur jacket that she wore aged 13 to the premiere of "Léon".

Other stops include the Lanvin gown Alber Elbaz made for her first Oscars, as well as appearances at the Golden Globes and in Cannes. Portman also talks about which dresses she has been able to keep from her red-carpet archive and why couture on the red carpet can be a challenge.

The cover story was photographed by Carlijn Jacobs and styled by Malina Joseph Gilchrist; Portman has lived in Paris for around a decade. The looks include pieces by Dior, Givenchy by Sarah Burton, Simone Rocha and Celine, plus jewellery by Tiffany & Co. In the interview Portman also discusses her new film "The Gallerist", out on 4 December.
