French lingerie house Chantelle is celebrating its 150th anniversary in 2026, and the milestone is now visible on the high street. As trade magazine Underlines reported on 8 October, retailers including Sheen Uncovered, Petals, Carino, Silks, Bravado, Elys, Camp Hopson and Daniels have installed anniversary windows. The brand is also releasing two limited autumn/winter sets, one each from its Champs Elysées and SoftStretch lines, both of which turn ten this year.

The company's story began in 1876 with the production of elastic knits. It has been owned by the Kretz family since the early 20th century: Maurice Kretz began making elastic corsets in 1902, and the Chantelle name has been used since 1949. According to FashionNetwork, the group today runs around 180 stores under the Chantelle and Darjeeling brands, with Renaud Cambuzat as design director.

To open the anniversary year, Chantelle released a campaign on YouTube in which each decade of the brand's history is reinterpreted through a single image – in the company's words, a contemporary take on the codes, materials and techniques of each era. The film “150 years of imagination” can be seen on the brand's YouTube channel.
