The Complete Edition of Ghost of Yōtei has been available for PlayStation 5 since 1 October. It includes the base game, the online co-op mode Legends, the story expansion Echoes of Sekigahara and the single-player mode Most Wanted. New buyers pay US$69.99, while owners of the base game can upgrade for $14.99.
Echoes of Sekigahara takes players to a new, smaller region and uses flashbacks to tell of Atsu's life before she became the Ghost. New additions include heavy weapons, more bounties and a new enemy type. VGC awards 4 out of 5 stars, praising the story and Erika Ishii's performance as the younger Atsu, but finds the roughly five-hour campaign shorter than hoped. GamingBolt gives 8/10, highlighting the densely designed Ashoro Foothills region and the new character Nagato, but misses bigger gameplay changes.
In Most Wanted, players fight through waves of enemies up to a member of the Yōtei Six and use earned currency to unlock abilities. Atsu, Oyuki, Nagato and Jin Sakai, the hero of Ghost of Tsushima, are playable. On OpenCritic, the top critic average stands at 89, with 87 per cent recommending the edition.
