Battlefield 6's fifth season starts on 13 October. It is split into three phases and adds three new maps instead of the usual two: it opens with Vegas Strip, featuring casinos, hotels and tunnels, and Area 51 with a secret underground facility. A European casino map follows on 10 November, and a winter phase in December brings a new Operation spanning both Vegas maps.
From 20 October to 7 November, a Halloween event based on EA's horror series Dead Space runs with matching cosmetics and a PvE mode in which players must stop a world-ending scenario. The event is not considered part of the official story.
Five new weapons, two vehicles, a server browser and Platoons for groups of up to 100 players are also coming. The battle royale spin-off REDSEC gets the fast-paced Rapid Royale mode. According to This Week in Videogames, Battlefield 6 also joins Game Pass Ultimate on 13 October.
