Britney Spears' third studio album, "Britney" (2001), is getting a 25th anniversary reissue. "Britney (25th Anniversary Edition)" will be released on 6 November by RCA Records and Sony Music. It contains 23 tracks, including B-sides, alternate versions and remixes.
Alongside hits such as "I'm a Slave 4 U", "Overprotected" and "Boys", the edition includes archive recordings. "She'll Never Be Me", which fans knew only from unofficial copies online, was officially released on 9 October. The tracklist closes with "Am I A Sinner", "When I Say So" and "My Big Secret", the last of which is linked to the production duo The Neptunes.
The edition is not a new studio album. Spears has largely stepped back from music. Her last studio album, "Glory", came out in 2016, and in 2022 she released "Hold Me Closer" with Elton John. It has not been confirmed whether she was involved in compiling the reissue.
