The date is now set: Forza Horizon 6 will be released for PlayStation 5 on 26 January 2027, Playground Games announced on 8 October. Buyers of the Premium Edition can start playing from 21 January. The PS5 version was originally meant to arrive this year, Game Informer reports. The racing game, set in Japan, has been available on Xbox Series X|S and PC since 19 May 2026.
The first premium expansion also launches on all platforms on 21 January; the studio has not yet named it. It is included in the Premium Edition and will also be sold separately. A free content update will also arrive with the PS5 launch. PlayStation Store pre-orders include a pre-tuned Ferrari J50.
The PS5 port is being developed by Panic Button together with Playground Games and Turn 10. It offers a quality mode at 4K and 30 frames per second and a performance mode at 60 frames per second, plus a disc version at retail. Players on PS5, Xbox and Steam can race together across platforms and share save data.
