Hunkemöller has published a video on YouTube titled "Hunkemöller by Vogue | Heritage Collection Runway Show". The backdrop is the company's 140th anniversary: Wilhelm Hunkemöller and Josephina Lexis founded it in Amsterdam in 1886 as a small corsetry workshop. For the anniversary the brand is working with Vogue Nederland, which places archive pieces in a fashion context, alongside a special "Hunkemöller by Vogue" magazine.

At the centre is the limited "Heritage Collection", available since September 24. According to creative director Patricia Beurskens, it draws on silhouettes, lace and craftsmanship from the company archive; some pieces are named after women such as writer Sylvia Plath and civil rights activist Rosa Parks. It was designed by the in-house, all-female design team. "You just shouldn't get stuck in the past," Beurskens told JAN magazine.

On September 25, Vogue Nederland and Hunkemöller staged an archive exhibition at the Internationaal Theater Amsterdam on Leidseplein – where the first shop opened. It featured design sketches, historical pieces and material from the Vogue shoots, alongside talks with Beurskens and Vogue editor-in-chief Linda Gümüs Gerritsen. In July, designer Tess van Zalinge had already shown a couture piece for the anniversary using Heritage collection fabrics.
