Italian lingerie house La Perla is working on its relaunch. During Milan Fashion Week, the company presented "Collection #00" on September 26, which FashionNetwork said reinterprets techniques and materials from more than 70 years of the brand's history in a contemporary way. According to news agency ANSA, it combines faithful reproductions of archive pieces with new designs.

Behind the fresh start is Luxury Holding, owned by former Expedia chief executive Peter Kern, which ANSA said acquired the production business in June 2025 for around 25 million euros. Alessio Vannetti, who previously held senior roles at Gucci, Valentino and Prada, has led the company since September 1. Production remains in Bologna, where former employees have returned, ANSA reported.

Vannetti announced that an in-house academy will open in 2027 to train a new generation of lingerie makers. He cited data from Italian luxury association Altagamma projecting a shortage of around 75,000 manufacturing workers by 2028. "There will be a lot of news shortly," Vannetti told ANSA.
