Serbia will have to do without Saša Lukić and Nemanja Maksimović for their home game against Germany on 13 November. Both were booked in the 2-1 defeat to the Netherlands in Eindhoven and are suspended for the next match, Serbian newspapers “Večernje novosti” and “Nezavisne novine” report.

According to “Nezavisne novine”, head coach Veljko Paunović is also suspended after being booked in Eindhoven following a caution in the game against Germany. Paunović reportedly said his shouts were aimed at his players, not at the referee, who misunderstood them. There was initially no official statement from UEFA or the Serbian FA on the coach’s ban.

Serbia are bottom of Group A2 without a point after four defeats. Germany are third on five points behind the Netherlands and Greece (eight each). After the game in Belgrade, Germany host the Netherlands at Berlin’s Olympiastadion on 16 November.
