Borussia Dortmund threw away a two-goal lead in the closing minutes to draw 2-2 with Werder Bremen in the Bundesliga on Friday. After a goalless first half, Daniel Svensson struck in the 80th minute and Nico Schlotterbeck headed in a second in the 85th. Ludovit Reis pulled one back soon after, and former Dortmund forward Niclas Fuellkrug headed the equaliser two minutes into stoppage time.

"I score the goal for us and not against them," he told Sky. "We actually had everything under control until the 88th minute," Schlotterbeck said. Dortmund sporting director Lars Ricken spoke of "pure disappointment".

Dortmund remain top with 13 points from five games but could be overtaken by Bayern Munich, who play at Augsburg on Saturday. The point was a boost for Bremen, who lost a friendly 7-0 at Twente.
