Anthropic launched two new features for its AI assistant Claude in beta on October 8. Claude Dashboards connects to data platforms such as BigQuery, Databricks, Snowflake, Amazon Redshift or ClickHouse, as well as to apps like Salesforce. Users ask a question in plain language, and Claude builds a dashboard and keeps it current as the data changes. Clicking a number shows the query behind it, and each chart shows when it was last refreshed. Dashboards are available on paid plans.
Claude Motion can turn a quarterly report into a roughly 30-second explainer for an all-hands meeting, for example. According to Anthropic, Claude writes code that animates text, charts, shapes and images; no video generation model is used, so no AI-generated people appear. The animations can be edited and downloaded as MP4 files. Motion is open to Team and Enterprise customers. For Enterprise customers, Dashboards and Motion are off until administrators turn them on, Anthropic says.
At the same time, Claude Docs, Slides and Design are leaving beta and are now available on every plan, including Free. Since they arrived in Claude conversations on September 16, people have created more than 45 million documents, decks and designs, Anthropic says. The standalone site claude.ai/design remains available until December 14.
