Bayern Munich have still not reached a deal with Harry Kane. "There is no new update. The talks are good, we are very, very positive," sporting director Christoph Freund said Friday. The 33-year-old England striker's contract runs until 2027, and the club wants to keep him beyond that. Details such as the length of a new deal are reportedly still open.

"Everyone knows we absolutely want to extend with Harry," Freund said. Asked about the possibility of no agreement, he said: "That scenario always exists as long as the ink isn't dry." Coach Vincent Kompany said: "My responsibility in this story is that Harry simply feels comfortable here."

Kane joined Bayern from Tottenham Hotspur in 2023 and has scored 100 goals in 98 Bundesliga games. Bayern play at Augsburg on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. local time.
