Hannover 96 visit 1. FC Magdeburg in the seventh round of Germany's second division on Saturday at 1 p.m. local time, the first competitive match for Sandro Wagner as head coach. The former Germany international succeeded Christian Titz in September.

Hannover are only 11th with seven points from six games, while Magdeburg are sixth with 10. Wagner praised his opponents, saying they had played strongly recently after a weak start. Describing his approach at his pre-match news conference, he said: "The football we want to play is our football." Results were demanded, he added, but processes take time.

The venue carries extra meaning: Titz spent more than four years at Magdeburg before moving to Hannover. Wagner said he still sees himself as a guest in Hannover who wants to get to know the city and its fans. Sky is broadcasting the match.
