Lens beat Paris FC 2-1 in Ligue 1 on Saturday night. Luca Koleosho gave the visitors the lead in first-half stoppage time from a Lassine Sinayoko pass. Florian Thauvin equalized in the 63rd minute. In the 83rd, Thauvin crossed, Florian Sotoca let the ball run, and Thorgan Hazard scored the winner.
Shortly after halftime, Lens defender Jean-Clair Todibo was shown a red card, but the referee overturned it after a video review because Ilan Kebbal had been offside earlier in the move. It was Lens' third straight league win, and according to Eurosport the team is now one point off the top. Paris FC, coached by Liam Rosenior, missed the chance to go top on its own.
“I'm proud, relieved, but not surprised either, because I live with this group every day,” Lens coach Yannick Cahuzac said. Of Thauvin, he said: “Flo is a bit like our detonator in this match.” The top game between Paris Saint-Germain and Lyon has been moved to Monday.
