A new name has emerged for Manny Pacquiao's next fight. Irish welterweight Paddy Donovan, 27, told Total Boxing with Tris Dixon, as reported by Boxing News, that his manager Keith O'Sullivan has contacted Pacquiao's team and the sides have been in talks. "It'd be a dream come true to fight Manny," Donovan said. "Look, it's a long shot, it'd be great."
According to Boxing News, Donovan became the IBF welterweight mandatory after his points win over Karen Chukhadzhian. Earlier, Eddie Hearn said Joe Cordina had agreed terms for a Pacquiao fight.
Boxing News says the Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua card on December 11 in Cardiff is "seemingly the destination" – neither an opponent nor an undercard slot has been officially confirmed. The report carries no confirmation from Pacquiao's camp.
