Aerosmith are rehearsing in their original lineup again: Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, Brad Whitford, Tom Hamilton and drummer Joey Kramer are preparing for two nights at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. Under the title “California, Dream On: Aerosmith & Friends,” the band will take the stage on Thursday, Oct. 29, and Sunday, Nov. 1. These are their first full concerts since September 2023, according to MS Aktuell. On Oct. 20, the band released rehearsal photos by photographer Ross Halfin showing Kramer back behind the drums.

Kramer had not played with Aerosmith since February 2020 and also missed the “Peace Out” farewell tour that began in 2023. That tour ended early: Tyler was injured at the third show, and in August 2024 the band retired from touring. Don Was is musical director of the Los Angeles shows. Announced guests include Guns N’ Roses on both nights as well as The Black Crowes, Run-DMC, Heart, Billy Idol, Sammy Hagar, Tom Morello and Eric Church.

Part of the proceeds will go to Janie’s Fund, Tyler’s organization supporting young women after traumatic experiences. Aerosmith have not announced a regular tour so far; there are no dates in Europe.
