US farm machinery group AGCO, which owns brands including Fendt, Massey Ferguson and Valtra, has signed a commercial agreement with Agility Robotics for humanoid robots. From 2027, the Digit robot is to work at AGCO's plant in Hesston, Kansas, initially sorting and stacking parts and placing totes into storage. According to Agility, AGCO thus joins customers such as Toyota, GXO and Schaeffler.

Two days later Agility announced that the production version of its next model, Digit 5, will be equipped exclusively with Nvidia IGX Thor computing modules. Nvidia's Halos safety platform is also to be built into the system Digit uses to detect people around it. The first customers are due to receive Digit 5 in the first half of 2027, with wider availability planned over the following six to nine months.

Agility says its Digit robots have already logged more than 65,000 hours of real-world operation. The company from Salem, Oregon, plans to list on Nasdaq in the fourth quarter through a merger with the blank-check company Churchill Capital Corp XI. The video comes from Agility's own series on the AI technology behind its robots.
