Bethesda presented a range of news for its post-apocalyptic series at this year’s Fallout Day. The biggest came from Prime Video: the reality competition show Fallout Shelter: The Experiment premieres on 13 January 2027 exclusively on the streaming service in more than 240 countries and territories. Everyday participants test their aptitude for the apocalypse in a real Vault, with $1 million going to the winner. The ten episodes roll out through 27 January; executive producers include Jonathan Nolan, Lisa Joy and Todd Howard of Bethesda Game Studios.
According to Bethesda, Fallout 76 now has 25 million players. The free World Pets update, dedicated to them, arrives on 1 December: cats, dogs, a radhog and a domesticated Deathclaw will accompany players, and bounty hunting comes to the Skyline Valley region. Fallout Shelter gets new seasons and a free Baby Deathclaw.
Fallout 4 received two new Creations from community studios: the free escape-room adventure FEVer Dreams and the robot dungeon Command Override. A deep-sea horror expansion from Zone Zero Creations has been announced for 2027. Fallout Day 2027 is set to be held in person in Washington, D.C.
