Jonas Urbig gets his next chance in Bayern Munich's goal in Sunday's top clash at SC Freiburg (17:30 CET). According to Sky Sport, the club announced on Saturday that Manuel Neuer is being rested because of persistent tendon irritation in his foot. Captain Joshua Kimmich, following a family bereavement, and head coach Vincent Kompany are also absent.

Head coach Jürgen Klopp picked Urbig in goal for the Nations League games against Serbia (2-0) and in Greece (0-0); Germany kept clean sheets in both. Before the return game in Thessaloniki, Klopp explained, according to ran, that the other goalkeepers in the squad played regularly while Urbig did not.

In Freiburg, Bayern are aiming to return to the top: Borussia Dortmund beat Frankfurt 1-0 on Saturday and are three points ahead. Germany's next international is away to Serbia on 13 November.
