For the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in Los Angeles on 18 October, hair was led for the first time by Guido Palau, Models.com reports. Mexican magazine Quién calls him the most in-demand British hairstylist in the world. In a new video on the brand's YouTube channel, he breaks down the so-called "Bombshell Blowout", the voluminous blow-dry that has long been part of the show's image.

Speaking to Harper's Bazaar, Palau described the direction: "The direction for the 2026 Victoria's Secret show is to celebrate the ultimate expression of luxurious healthy hair." The aesthetic, he said, "includes the mega blowout combined with a celebration of natural textures and curls." Backstage, models including Paloma Elsesser, Alex Consani and Anok Yai wore personalised satin robes and sky-high rollers, the method Palau's team used to create the bouncy waves. Extensions were also used for added volume.

Quién breaks the technique down into steps: volumising mousse on damp hair, a root-lifting spray, blow-drying in sections with a round brush, then large rollers on the still-warm sections, a texturising spray and finally a fixing spray. Make-up was led for the second time by Pat McGrath. "This year, we wanted to embrace the extraordinary fantasy of Victoria's Secret," she told Harper's Bazaar. Her team focused on luminous skin, softly smudged liner and glossy lips.
