Borussia Dortmund will be without Nico Schlotterbeck for Wednesday's Champions League game at Bodø/Glimt (21:00 CEST). According to the club, the centre-back is not travelling to Norway "for reasons of load management". Sporting director Lars Ricken pointed to several injuries Schlotterbeck has had recently, Sky Sport reported.
Germany internationals Waldemar Anton, Maximilian Beier and Felix Nmecha are in the 23-man squad. The game in Bodø is played on artificial turf; Ricken spoke of a "crazy week" with three away games and around 11,000 flight kilometres in seven days and expects a "huge challenge".
Schlotterbeck's fitness matters to Germany coach Jürgen Klopp with November in mind: Germany face Serbia in Belgrade on 13 November and the Netherlands in Berlin on 16 November.
