Peugeot unveiled the E-T16 concept for the Paris Motor Show. It recalls the 205 T16 that won Peugeot the 1985 World Rally Championship and previews the next-generation 208 small car. Three electric motors drive all four wheels; automotive media cite a combined output of 816 hp (805 bhp in British figures). The concept is said to reach 62 mph in 2.5 seconds.

According to the reports, the 85-kWh battery uses 800-volt technology and charges from 10% to 80% in about 15 minutes. Peugeot claims a range of up to 249 miles. According to evo, the concept weighs 1,610 kilograms and uses the "Hypersquare" steer-by-wire system with no mechanical link to the front wheels.

The E-T16 is not a production model. According to carwow, the regular E-208 will be revealed in 2027, with a GTI version expected in 2028 that will be far less extreme than the concept.
