French textile group Fremaux Delorme has acquired the nightwear brand Le Chat, FashionNetwork reported on 8 October, followed by Italian trade magazine Linea Intima on 10 October. The deal covers the brand, its staff, its stock and its traditional distribution network. No financial details were published. Le Chat was founded in 1946 and is known for nightwear and homewear.

Fremaux Delorme specialises in high-end household and bed linen and, according to FashionNetwork, runs ten brands and licences; Linea Intima names Yves Delorme and nightwear label Laurence Tavernier among them. With the purchase, the group aims to strengthen its sleep-focused offering; it already took over Maison de la Literie in 2023. According to Linea Intima, Le Chat will draw on the group's industrial structure and international presence while keeping a positioning distinct from Laurence Tavernier.

The group told Linea Intima it intends to keep selling through specialist multi-brand retailers and to develop synergies between the two sales networks. Le Chat says it sources all of its lace and 33% of its other materials from France and Italy. According to an official notice, a company named Lingerie Le Chat SAS had already been set up in July, registered care of Fremaux Delorme in Wasquehal, with Fremaux Delorme SAS as its president.
