Parisian jewellery house Messika presented its new high jewellery collection, Terres de Contrastes, as a runway show at the Grand Palais during Paris Fashion Week. According to fashion site Oui Speak Fashion, the show took place on 1 October in the Galerie Courbe, with styling developed by designer Valérie Messika together with Carine Roitfeld. The collection is inspired by the landscapes of Botswana – the Okavango Delta, the Kalahari Desert and the Makgadikgadi salt pans. Turkish magazine Alem describes sculptural pieces with stones ranging from blues and greens to warm earthy tones.
According to Oui Speak Fashion, Adriana Lima opened the show and Irina Shayk closed it – according to Glamcheck, in a sleek black dress with a dramatic open back and a statement diamond necklace. The centrepiece of the finale was Okavango Blue, set with a 20.46-carat blue diamond cut from a 41.11-carat rough stone and graded Fancy Deep Blue with VVS1 clarity. According to Messika, it is the largest blue diamond ever found in Botswana.
The front row, according to Oui Speak Fashion, included Julianne Moore, Carla Bruni and Kiko Mizuhara, as well as Botswana's Minister of Minerals and Energy, Bogolo Joy Kenewendo. Shayk has worked with the brand before: according to Alem, she appeared alongside Julianne Moore in Messika's 2026 Moderniste campaign. The FashionTV video shows the two supermodels at the show.
