British indie band The Wombats on Monday announced an anniversary tour marking 20 years of their debut album “A Guide to Love, Loss & Desperation”. The record came out in 2007 and features songs such as “Let’s Dance to Joy Division” and “Moving to New York”. In April 2027 the trio will play ten concerts in Europe and the UK, including Cologne, Berlin and Munich.

The band, fronted by Matthew “Murph” Murphy, said the debut will be played in full from start to finish, along with songs from their other albums. Drummer Dan Haggis told NME: “When we realised our debut album was turning 20 in 2027 we decided it was only fair to throw a bit of a party to celebrate.” Scottish band The Snuts are among the support acts.

According to Eventim, tickets for the German shows go on sale there on Thursday, Oct. 15, at 10 a.m. CEST, with general sale starting on Friday, Oct. 16, at 10 a.m. CEST, VISIONS reported. In the UK, a presale starts on Wednesday and general sale on Friday at 9 a.m. BST. The band released its sixth album, “Oh! The Ocean”, in February 2025.
