OKTAGON 95: Škvor sees his career winding down – and wants an early win over Narkun

Daniel Škvor expects his career to end soon. "I think I have left, two, three, maybe four fights and I must finish my career," the 37-year-old Czech told Cageside Press. On Saturday, October 17, he faces Poland's Tomasz Narkun at light heavyweight at OKTAGON 95 in the Mattoni Arena in Karlovy Vary.
The former GLORY kickboxer (11-4 in MMA) predicted a finish, possibly within two rounds – by elbow, knee or his "favourite guillotine". According to Lowkick MMA, Narkun (21-7) was KSW light heavyweight champion from 2015 to 2022 and has won 15 of his fights by submission; he lost his OKTAGON debut in April on points to Alexander Poppeck.
Škvor considers a heavyweight fight against champion Will Fleury possible, even though heavyweight does not really suit him at his normal weight of 100 kilograms. He had to withdraw from a planned fight with Fleury earlier this year. OKTAGON's new "Stand and Bang" rules, which ban takedowns and kicks, are "good for me", Škvor said.
