Two men suspected of setting fire to a ground station of the Starlink satellite internet service in Poland in September have been detained in Germany, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced Monday evening. Warsaw said German police acted at the request of Polish authorities.

The Sept. 23 fire in Wola Krobowska, about 60 kilometers (37 miles) southwest of Warsaw, damaged parts of the power supply and an emergency generator. Interior Minister Marcin Kierwinski said the men would be charged in Poland with sabotage on behalf of a foreign intelligence service. Poland is seeking their transfer.

Intelligence coordinator Tomasz Siemoniak said there was "no doubt" that Russian services were behind the sabotage. Tusk called it another act of hybrid warfare. No public evidence of Russian involvement has been presented so far. Germany's Federal Criminal Police Office could not initially be reached for comment.
