Berlin police are asking for information on two unknown suspects. They allegedly defrauded a 66-year-old woman of her bank card in Schöneberg on July 25, 2026, according to a police statement issued on Monday. Under the headline "Who recognises the suspects?", police are now searching for the pair publicly.
According to police, an unknown woman called the senior, posed as a bank employee and obtained her PIN. About 30 minutes later, a man came to the flat and took the card away under a pretext. Two unknown people then withdrew money at a bank branch on Wittenbergplatz; police released surveillance camera images. The State Criminal Police fraud unit can be reached at (030) 4664-925320.
