Alfa Romeo showed the Cuorerosso ("red heart") concept on Oct. 11, the eve of the Paris Motor Show. The automaker says the four-seat grand tourer does not preview a production model but is a "manifesto" for its future "Bellezza Necessaria" (necessary beauty) design language, which strips away anything non-essential. The concept is 4.70 meters long, 1.98 meters wide and 1.33 meters high, weighs 1,750 kilograms according to Alfa Romeo and has a drag coefficient of 0.28.

Alfa Romeo outlines a 2.9-liter V6 full hybrid with Q4 all-wheel drive; no power figure was given. Future models up to 4.7 meters long will come with electric, plug-in hybrid, mild hybrid and full hybrid powertrains, the company says, and Quadrifoglio versions are possible. The concept has air suspension, Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes and steer-by-wire. Motor1 says the car almost certainly won't reach production in this form but expects it to influence future models.

"Alfa Romeo has always created cars that are capable not only of moving people, but of arousing something within them," said Santo Ficili, CEO of Alfa Romeo and Maserati. The Cuorerosso was one of six concepts Stellantis presented on the night before the show.
