Netflix has released a full trailer for 'The Mosquito Bowl.' Director Peter Berg ('Lone Survivor') tells the true story of four celebrated college football players who join the Marines after the attack on Pearl Harbor. While preparing for the invasion of Okinawa, they train on Guadalcanal and play a football game there featuring some of the best college players of their era.
Nicholas Galitzine, Bill Skarsgård, Ray Nicholson and Tom Francis star. The film is based on the 2022 nonfiction book by Pulitzer Prize winner Buzz Bissinger; Berg wrote the screenplay with Mark L. Smith. According to Dark Horizons, 15 of the game's 65 players died within a year.
