Canadian intimates brand Knix will release a limited collection based on "A Court of Thorns and Roses" (ACOTAR), the fantasy book series by US author Sarah J. Maas, on 15 October. The company announced the launch on 5 October. It says this is the brand's first book-inspired collection; the licence was secured through the series' licensing agency, IMG Licensing. The collection will be sold online, and a one-day pop-up opens in New York's Chelsea neighbourhood for the launch.

According to the press release, the collection comprises five new silhouettes – including a satin corset, a robe-and-slip set and satin slips – and five exclusive prints referencing places in the saga, such as "Velaris Night Sky" and "Spring Court Bloom". Bras, underwear and sleepwear complete the range. According to MediaPost, Knix, known for its leakproof underwear, is moving into corsetry and eveningwear for the first time.

The company says the idea came from its own community, which named ACOTAR as its top dream collaboration. "ACOTAR fans are some of the most passionate people on the internet, and I'm one of them," said Knix President Nicole Tapscott. The timing is deliberate: the sixth book, "A Court of Splintered Harmony", is due on 27 October, Bustle reports. MediaPost reports that a second chapter is planned for the seventh book in January. Knix has been majority-owned by hygiene group Essity since 2022.
