Wacken Open Air on Oct. 6 shared a moving moment from this year's festival: fan Uwe wished to see Judas Priest live at Wacken once more. Together with his family and the Wünschewagen (wish ambulance) of the Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund (ASB) Bavaria, he came to the grounds in perfect festival weather. The band invited him to a personal meet-and-greet, and in the evening he enjoyed the concert with his son. The festival described the meeting as "an absolute goosebump moment."
Since Oct. 2, the official ticket market for Wacken Open Air 2027 has been live in the Wacken Ticketcenter. According to the organizer, it is the only authorized resale platform: tickets change hands anonymously and at face value, sellers pay no fee and buyers pay 30 euros including the transfer.
The festival runs July 28–31, 2027. The first sales phases are over; the ticket overview currently still lists the "Louder" ticket at 364 euros and the "Younger" ticket for fans up to age 25 at 279 euros (each plus a 2-euro fee). Electric Callboy, Five Finger Death Punch and Helloween are confirmed as headliners.
