Renato Moicano (21-7-1) spoke about his future ahead of his UFC Vegas 123 main event on Saturday at the Meta APEX in Las Vegas. According to Sherdog, three fights remain on his contract, including Nolan. “I want to fight this deal out for sure,” the Brazilian told MMA Fighting. “I would like to be a free agent, too. … Just to see what it's like.”
At media day, according to Cageside Press, he made the stakes clear: “This fight, I need to win, otherwise I just get paid half.” He praised his opponent as a “tough guy, tall, very good striker, dangerous,” but added: “I think I'm better than him.”
For Tom Nolan (11-1) it is a first UFC main event. “I wouldn't have called him out if I thought he was a shell of himself,” the Australian said. “If it comes down to grit, I think I'm definitely going to be the one that wins that.”
