A clash between Richardson Hitchins and Keyshawn Davis had been tipped for the undercard of Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua in Cardiff on December 11 – but no contract was ever made public. Now Hitchins has declared the fight off on social media. "He was asking for 6ms to fight me," he wrote, according to Boxing News 24, adding that he himself had agreed to the fight almost two months ago.
Davis disagrees. He says he signed a contract back in August and messaged Hitchins at the time: "The ink is dry. Did you sign your contract?" According to Boxing News 24, Davis also said: "I want my next fight to be you. I don't want nobody else." He reportedly did not address the $6 million figure.
Neither account has been confirmed by the other side. Officially, not a single undercard bout has yet been confirmed for the Cardiff card.
