Bayern before Arsenal: Unwell Kompany due to face the media at 4pm
A virus and, per media reports, hip problems kept Bayern's coach out of Monday's training. Eberl "firmly" expects Kompany to be on the touchline against Arsenal on Wednesday.

A day before their Champions League clash with Arsenal, Bayern Munich are still sweating on their head coach. Sporting director Max Eberl says Vincent Kompany has been battling a virus, and media report hip problems as well. During Saturday's 6-1 win over RB Leipzig the 40-year-old spent almost the entire match on the bench, with assistant Aaron Danks giving most of the instructions. According to media reports, Kompany missed training on Monday.
"He really isn't well," Eberl said after the Leipzig game. Looking ahead to Wednesday's match against Arsenal (9pm CEST), however, he struck a confident tone: "We firmly expect it not to be a problem for Wednesday."
According to the club's schedule, Bayern hold their final training session at Säbener Straße at 2pm, followed by a press conference with Kompany and Serge Gnabry at 4pm (CEST). It should then become clearer in what role the coach will be on the touchline at the Allianz Arena.
