A German trailer has been released for Asghar Farhadi's 'Parallel Tales' (original title: 'Histoires parallèles'), published by StudioCanal's label Arthaus. The Iranian director premiered the French-language film in competition at the Cannes Film Festival in May.

Isabelle Huppert plays Sylvie, a Paris novelist suffering from writer's block. She watches her neighbours through a telescope and turns what she sees into fiction. When she hires young Adam as her assistant, the line between invention and reality blurs – with dramatic consequences. The film is loosely based on Krzysztof Kieślowski's 'Dekalog 6'.

Alongside Huppert, the cast includes Virginie Efira, Vincent Cassel, Pierre Niney, Adam Bessa and Catherine Deneuve. StudioCanal releases the film in German cinemas on December 3.
