Russian drones attacked energy infrastructure in Ukraine's Odesa region overnight into Sunday. About 24,000 households lost electricity, regional military administration head Oleh Kiper said on Telegram. Repair crews were working to restore supply.

Around midday, a Russian strike also hit a multi-storey residential building in a densely populated part of Odesa, city military administration head Serhii Lysak said. A 13-year-old girl was injured and a fire broke out on the roof.

More than 150,000 Bulgarians live in the Odesa region, according to BTA – the third-largest ethnic group in Ukraine in the latest census. About 50,000 to 60,000 of them live in Odesa city, with the largest compact communities in the Bolhrad, Izmail and Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi districts.
