Megadeth are pressing on with their multi-continent farewell tour. On SiriusXM’s “Trunk Nation”, frontman Dave Mustaine said the band leaves in a couple of weeks for New Zealand and Australia and is returning to Korea after nearly 20 years. “ANTHRAX and KERRY KING are going out with us on the next run,” he said.

Europe follows: the “Breakout: Hibernation Of The Nations” tour runs to 24 shows from 9 March 2027 in Belfast to 13 April in Lisbon, with Black Label Society and Testament on the whole run. In Germany the band plays Düsseldorf, Hamburg, Berlin and Munich, in Switzerland Bern. Tickets have been on sale since August.

The latest album “Megadeth” – billed as the band’s 17th and final studio album – gave them their first No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and also topped the chart in Austria. On ending life on stage, Mustaine said: “I'm a realist” – for now he has to do what is right in front of him.
