Austria’s ORF 1 is airing three episodes each on 19 and 20 October of the new crime series “Das Vergessen – Spurlos im Moor”. It is set in the fictional Austrian village of Engelsberg. Police officer Pia Kraus (Julia Koschitz) has spent six months searching for her 17-year-old niece Amelie – until the girl’s body is found in the moor.

The missing-person case becomes a murder investigation, which Pia takes on with her colleague Tarek Moser. At the same time she is diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s. At first only her friend, the doctor Anni Rath, knows – her husband Jonas (Matthias Koeberlin) and their children do not.

The six episodes of about 45 minutes each are an ARD–ORF co-production made by Odeon Fiction and Mona Film, directed by Daniel Geronimo Prochaska and Johanna Moder. In Germany the full season is in the ARD Mediathek from 23 October; Das Erste airs the first four episodes on 24 October from 20:15 and the last two on 25 October from 21:45.
