120 charging points at Montréal airport: load sharing makes a large hub possible
At Aéroport métropolitain de Montréal, 120 new charging points are in operation and 48 more are planned. The available power is shared intelligently across groups of chargers.

Spanish charging technology maker Wallbox and Québec-based installer edp électrique have put 120 new electric vehicle charging points into operation at the YHU terminal of Aéroport métropolitain de Montréal (MET). All 120 stations are already working. Another 48 are planned in a building still under construction at the site.
The size of the hub was made technically possible by the power-sharing feature of Wallbox's Pulsar Pro chargers, which distribute the available grid power across groups of charging points instead of sizing every connection for full output. The AC chargers deliver a maximum of 11.5 kilowatts, making them better suited to employees and long-term parkers than to fast charging. The Foresta platform manages the charging points.
'Transport hubs such as airports are an important part of the next phase of EV charging infrastructure,' said Wallbox chief business officer Ignasi Alastuey.
