Foot ligament injury: Dortmund without Karetsas in Baku and against Frankfurt

Borussia Dortmund will be without Konstantinos Karetsas at Sabah FC in the Champions League on Tuesday night. The 18-year-old will also miss Saturday's game against Frankfurt. Kovac calls BVB "clear favorites."

Borussia Dortmund will be without Konstantinos Karetsas for the third round of the Champions League league phase. The 18-year-old sustained a ligament injury in his foot shortly after coming on as a substitute in the 0-0 draw at Union Berlin. "He has a ligament injury in his foot, will not fly to Baku and will not be able to play against Frankfurt either," sporting director Lars Ricken told Sky. After that, decisions will be made day by day.

Kickoff against Sabah FC is at 6:45 p.m. German time at Baku's Olympic Stadium, where the Azerbaijani club is moving for the match. Coach Niko Kovac set out the goal clearly: "We are clear favorites here and we want to and have to win the game." Spain's Javier Alberola Rojas will referee.
