Renault is bringing back the people carrier: the E-Space Concept is an electric reinterpretation of the 1984 Espace, which Renault developed with Matra, according to InsideEVs. The automaker announced the concept on Oct. 6, with the world premiere set for Monday, Oct. 12, at its Paris Motor Show press conference. The name combines the "E" of Renault's E-Tech electric badge with the word "Space," Renault says.

The concept is 4.70 meters long, 2.02 meters wide and 1.67 meters tall, according to Renault. Inside are six identical individual seats in three rows on a completely flat floor; outside, 23-inch wheels sit at the four corners of the body. Cameras replace the side mirrors, and there are no visible door handles. Renault has not yet released images of the interior, InsideEVs reports.

Renault says no production version is currently planned. One element is set to reach future upper-range electric models, however: the curved "OpenR Panorama" display, which Renault says is 1,130 millimeters wide and 110 millimeters tall. Renault will show the concept on a 2,500-square-meter stand in Hall 6.
