Single: Love Takes Miles (Live at Carnegie Hall)

Cameron Winter, frontman of New York rock band Geese, released the live album 'Live at Carnegie Hall' on Partisan Records/Play It Again Sam on October 9. It documents his sold-out solo concert from December 2025, which he played alone at the piano. Paul Thomas Anderson and Benny Safdie also filmed the evening. Alongside familiar songs, the album includes new material such as 'It All Fell in the River' and 'If You Turn Back Now'.

The Line of Best Fit awards it 9 out of 10: without a band, Winter's talent comes across 'in sharper definition than ever before'. The irony of his earlier solo work gives way to genuine, deeply felt emotion. The review singles out 'Love Takes Miles', which stays dizzy even when stripped back, the dark 'Drinking Age' and '$0', concluding that Winter deserves the attention he is getting.

Stereogum named it 'Album of the Week', arguing that the best live albums serve as historical snapshots. On Metacritic, the album averages 89 points. As an official preview, Winter has posted the live version of 'Love Takes Miles' on his channel.
