Max Verstappen has won the Singapore Grand Prix. The Red Bull driver converted pole into victory by 7.335 seconds over Ferrari's Charles Leclerc, his first Grand Prix win at the Marina Bay Street Circuit. According to formel1.de, Madrid is now the only track on the current calendar where he has yet to win. Andrea Kimi Antonelli completed the podium, ahead of McLaren's Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, who finished fifth despite an extra stop for a slow puncture.

Lewis Hamilton faded on soft tyres late on and finished sixth ahead of Liam Lawson. Nico Hulkenberg scored four points for Audi in eighth, holding off George Russell, who climbed from the back of the grid after his engine change to ninth. Isack Hadjar took the final point. Gabriel Bortoleto (gearbox) and Lance Stroll (clutch) retired, each bringing out a virtual safety car.

Antonelli now leads the championship on 340 points ahead of Russell (238), Hamilton (229), Verstappen (221) and Leclerc (215). According to GPblog, the 102-point margin means the Mercedes driver can mathematically clinch the title at the next race in Austin (25 October).
